Phoenix Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Crash At 43rd And Bell
A Phoenix motorcyclist is in critical condition after colliding with a Honda Accord Thursday at the Bell Road and 43rd Avenue intersection.

PHOENIX, AZ — A Phoenix motorcyclist is still in critical condition Friday morning after colliding with a car Thursday around 5:30 p.m. at the Bell Road and 43rd Avenue intersection.
A 58-year-old woman driving a 2011 Honda Accord north on 43rd Avenue was attempting a left turn onto Bell Road. At the same time, a 44-year-old man riding a 1995 Honda Shadow 1100 motorcycle headed south on 43rd Avenue entered the intersection, and the two collided.
The motorcyclist, who wasn’t wearing a helmet when the accident happened, sustained “serious injury,” police said. Phoenix fire staff took the man to the hospital after the crash.

Meanwhile, after the accident, the Accord driver stayed at the crash scene. Police determined she wasn’t impaired when the collision occurred.
The motorcycle rider "remains in critical condition" at the hospital, according to a Friday morning police update.
