22-Year-Old Phoenix Mom Admits To Killing Her 3 Children: Police

Three kids ages 3, 2 and 7 months died in their family's home Monday. Tuesday, Phoenix police said the kids' mom admitted she killed them.

PHOENIX, AZ — Three children ages 3, 2 and 7 months died Monday. On Tuesday their mother, Rachel Henry, 22, admitted to killing them and was arrested, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The case began around 7:30 p.m. Monday, when officers were dispatched to a Phoenix home near Vineyard Avenue and 25th Street on a report of “unknown trouble,” police said.

Police found three children unresponsive and began administering CPR to them, police said. Phoenix fire medics arrived and pronounced all three kids dead, authorities said.

Henry, in addition to the kids' 30-year-old father and a female relative age 49 were in the home when the deaths occurred, police said. “There were no obvious signs of trauma to the children,” said Phoenix police Sgt. Mercedes Fortune.

Police interviewed Henry and the children's father Monday evening.

On Tuesday morning, the Phoenix Police Department tweeted that Henry was arrested after admitting to killing her three children. She is in jail now, facing three counts of first degree murder.

The medical examiner will determine the children’s cause of death, police reported.

Henry had recently moved from Oklahoma to Arizona.
