Phoenix Police Arrest Suspect In Black Friday Motel Room Homicide

PHOENIX, AZ — Phoenix police arrested Antoine L. Jones, 31, Thursday around 10 a.m. near 1600 N. Black Canyon Access Road in connection with a Black Friday motel room homicide in Phoenix.

On Nov. 29, police were called to a motel room near 19th Avenue and Van Buren Street on a report of gunshots fired. When officers arrived at the motel room, they found a then-unidentified man with gunshot wounds. Phoenix Fire members also reported to the motel room and pronounced the victim dead. Police Thursday identified the victim as Freddie L. Stewart, 30.
