Phoenix Police Identify Mother Allegedly Stabbed, Killed By Son

The mother allegedly stabbed and killed by her son in Phoenix Saturday was identified by police Monday as Constance Driescher.

PHOENIX, AZ ­— Phoenix police Monday identified Constance Driescher as the mother whom they believe was stabbed and killed by her son Terry Driescher Jr., 47, on Saturday.

While she was yet alive, Constance, 68, told police Terry stabbed her in the driveway at their home near 3900 E. Willow Ave. after the two had a verbal fight about the family’s dog around 10:15 a.m.

After the stabbing, Constance was taken to the hospital, having sustained life-threatening injuries. She died later.

Back at the scene of the argument, Phoenix police surrounded the family home and tried to communicate with Terry. In the meantime, the Phoenix Special Assignment Unit arrived and served a search warrant.

Terry was then found inside the residence and taken into custody. He is in the Fourth Avenue Jail in Phoenix on first-degree murder charges.
