UPDATE Phoenix PD Issues Silver Alert For Missing 39-Year-Old Man

The Phoenix Police Department has issued a silver alert for a missing Phoenix man, Wilondja Placido Mto, 39, who only speaks Swahili.

UPDATE: Phoenix PD Detective Luis Samudio reported Thursday that officers located Mto near 1700 S. 40th Ave., and that Mto is now with his family again.

PHOENIX, AZ — The Phoenix Police Department has issued a silver alert for a missing Phoenix man — Wilondja Placido Mto, 39 — who has a medical condition that makes him appear disoriented or confused. Mto was last seen Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. near 33rd Avenue and W. Northern in Phoenix.

Mto only speaks Swahili, and is 5’5” and 130 lbs. He has brown eyes and brown hair and was last seen wearing black pants, a light gray long-sleeved shirt, a dark green jacket and red shoes.

The Phoenix Police Department asks anyone with any information on Mto’s whereabouts to call them at 602-262-6141.
