Phoenix Police Seek Driver In Sunday Night Deadly Hit And Run

PHOENIX, AZ – Police want to know who was driving a grey or silver Chrysler when it struck and killed 46-year-old Isela Ortega Sunday night. She died at the scene and the driver kept going.

It happened Sunday night about 10:30 p.m.. Oretga was crossing West Van Buren Street mid-block when a car described as a light grey or silver Chrysler 300 four-door ran into her and kept going.

Police say that car is a model from between 2005-2010 and has damage to the front windshield.

Friends of Ortega have set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for funeral expenses.

"She was Mother, a Grandmother, a Sister, a Daughter, she was a wonderful person and gave you the shirt off her back if she could, any donations will be greatly appreciated, let's help a grieving family," a friend wrote.
