Phoenix Woman Shot In Rocky Point Tells Station: We Weren't Safe
The 19-year-old woman from Phoenix who was shot in Rocky Point over the weekend told 12 News that she "wasn't going to make it."

PHOENIX, AZ – The 19-year-old woman from Phoenix had gone to Rocky Point, Mexico with friends for the Easter weekend. It was supposed to be a relaxing weekend.
Which it was, until they got caught in the crossfire of a shooting.
"One of my friends that was with us, she was lying next to a dead body," the woman – identified only as "Lizeth" – told 12 News.

"We thought we were somewhere safe, we weren't safe."
Lizeth was shot in the leg.

The shooting happened Sunday morning on a tourist street in Rocky Point. Officials say that two Mexican nationals were killed in the shooting and "Lizeth" along with two others were wounded.
An abandoned car with two AK-47s and another weapon were later found on a highway not far away.
