Senior Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run In Phoenix: Police
The man was found injured in the street near the intersection of 37th Avenue and Glendale Road, according to police.
PHOENIX, AZ — A senior man was killed in a hit and run on Monday night, as he attempted to cross Glendale Road near 37th Avenue, according to police.
Carlos Gonzalez, 76, was found unresponsive, laying in the street around 8:10 p.m. Monday, police said. Gonzalez was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Police later learned that Gonzalez was hit by a silver vehicle that fled the scene. As of Tuesday, police did not have any suspects in custody.
