Six Teens Shot, One Killed At Phoenix Party: Police

The shootings happened at a party near 59th Avenue and Thomas Road early Sunday morning, according to police.

PHOENIX, AZ — Six young people were shot, one of them fatally, early Sunday morning after a party in Phoenix, according to police.

The person who died was an 18-year-old man, according to police. The injured included another 18-year-old man, a 17-year-old boy, a 17-year-old girl and two 16-year-old boys, police said.

The man who died was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his wounds, according to police.

As of Monday, police had not publicly identified any of the victims.

The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at near the intersection of 59th Avenue and Thomas Road, police said.

Police are still not sure what led up to the shooting.
