Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:
- Sprouts Farmers Market, a Phoenix-based grocery chain that specializes in healthy food, has announced that it will be opening 30 new stores while closing 11 underperforming ones in the coming months. The company's Chief Financial Officer, Chip Molloy, stated that the stores that will be closing are on average 30 percent larger than the company's current prototype and are not doing well financially. Sprouts Farmers Market's CEO, Jack Sinclair, said that the new stores will be smaller at around 23,000 square feet and the company will be moving away from larger stores. (KTAR.com)
- The National Money Show took place in Phoenix over the weekend, drawing coin collectors and enthusiasts from all over the country. The event offered a vast collection of rare coins, currency, and other items, with exhibitors like World Numismatics showcasing Mexican and Latin American coins.
