Student From Phoenix Invited Into Ohio Wesleyan’s Honors Program

A student from Phoenix was accepted into Ohio Wesleyan University's Honors Program, requiring a 3.5 high school GPA, a 1300 SAT or 28 ACT.

PHOENIX – Ignacio Castro Cardenas from Phoenix was accepted into Ohio Wesleyan University’s “selective” Leland F. and Helen Schubert Honors Program. He was 1 of 80 first-year students invited into the university’s honors program for the fall semester.

To be invited into Ohio Wesleyan University’s honors program like Cardenas, students must have earned a 3.5 high school GPA, a 1300 SAT or 28 ACT. The college’s honors program culminates during a student’s senior year with a mentor-supervised creative or research project including a written thesis or similar creative piece assessed by a committee for relevance, quality and effort.

Students not invited into the university’s honors program can also apply for the honors program and will be considered, according to a university spokesperson.
