Teen Driver And Passenger Die After Car Hits Block Wall: Police

A 16-year-old girl was at the wheel when the car she was driving hit a wall in Phoenix on Thursday, according to police.

PHOENIX, AZ — A teenage driver and her passenger are both dead after the car the teen was driving Thursday morning crashed into a block wall in Phoenix, according to police.

The passenger Reyna Murillo Martinez, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene. Victoria Cruz, 16, was transported to a local hospital for serious injuries where she was also later pronounced dead.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of 7th Street and Bethany Home Road, according to police.
