Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:

  1. One person died and another was wounded after a shooting early on Thursday. According to authorities, the shooting took place near 48th Street and McDowell road just after 2:15 a.m. Two men were found on the scene with gunshot wounds. One died at the hospital, and the other remains in critical condition. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
  2. According to a new report, the Phoenix metro area is among the most resilient economies in the country. According to Metro Monitor 2023, which took a comprehensive look at 192 metro areas nationwide, Phoenix ranks No. 4 for economic resiliency through the Covid-19 pandemic.   3. A man and two children were killed in a condo fire on Wednesday night. Two other children are in critical condition at the hospital. According to Phoenix Fire Captain Scott Douglas, firefighters arrived at the scene around 11 p.m. near 35th and Northern avenues. Officials say there are no obvious signs that this fire was intentionally set. (Arizona's Family)
