Two Mesa Homes Destroyed In Fire, 100 Firefighters Responded

Three fire departments sent about 100 firefighters to a blaze in Mesa that claimed two homes. There were no serious injuries.

MESA, AZ – It was a tough situation for firefighters in Mesa on Sunday afternoon. Two homes were destroyed in the fire.

About 100 firefighters from three fire departments responded to the fire.

Gilbert and Tempe sent firefighters to assist Mesa.

While no one was seriously injured, two firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion.

The temperature in Mesa had reached 106 degrees – a record for Mesa on May 6.
