Watch As Teacher Gets Gift Of Special Nike Shoes From Students
Joe Lara is leaving Valley Christian High School after ten years teaching. His students wanted to do something special. Watch his reaction.

CHANDLER, AZ – You would think he won Megabucks. And an Oscar. And the Publisher's Clearinghouse. And all of Oprah's favorite things.
Joe Lara's in his tenth year teaching Spanish at Valley Christian High School in Chandler. It will also be his last as he prepares to move on to other things.
His freshman class really likes him. Really.

"I need scissors, people!" he yells out on video that one of his students posted to Twitter.

"No you don't," several respond.
Regardless, he gets his scissors and starts cutting away the gift wrap.
He sees a Nike box.
You need to know that Lara – or "Senor Lara" as several of his students call him on Twitter – likes sneakers.
"No way!" he shouts. "No way! You did... Oh, my god! Oh, no way, no way!"
"Yes, way," several of his students responded.
He buries his head in his hand and bends over in excitement. You can feel his happiness.
"Ooooooooohhhh!" he shouts. "Oooooooh!"
He lifts a pair of very hard to get Mike Air Jordan French Blue sneakers.
"My dream shoe!" she yells.
"Since our teacher s leaving and today is his birthday, we got him his dream shoes he talks about everyday," tweeted one of the students, Sailor Coutermarsh.
She helped plan it several other students including, Jaci Jones, who also took to Twitter.
"It was so fun planning it!," she wrote. "Mr Lara deserved all of it and more!
"He is truly the best teacher ever and such a blessing."
Nike even hears about what was going on and tweeted a message to Lara.
"Thank you fo your dedication to the next generation of flight, Mr Lara," they wrote. "We're honored to be a part of your classroom."
