What's Open/Closed In Phoenix On Indigenous People's Day 2019
With Indigenous People's Day on Monday, Phoenix residents might be wondering what's open or closed that day. Here's what we found out.
PHOENIX – The Washington Post reported Thursday that Washington, D.C. Council member David Grosso this week initiated “emergency legislation” to rename Columbus Day as Indigenous People's Day. The bill was signed in time. Likewise, ABC News reported that more than 100 cities have already renamed the holiday as Indigenous People's Day. Phoenix is one of those cities.
The holiday hits this Monday, Oct. 14, and with it, questions about what we can do and where we can go for entertainment, banking, pet adoptions and more in Phoenix that day. Though most of the museums and places of business we contacted will be open on Indigenous People's Day, a few won’t. Here’s what we found out about what’s opened and closed that day.
