Woman Struck, Killed Looking For Dropped Phone Along Road
Scottsdale Police say 24-year-old Jesena Andony, from Canada, was in a golf cart just before 2 a.m. when she dropped here device.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - The woman who died after getting hit by a truck early Saturday while searching for her phone along the road has been identified.
Scottdale Police say 24-year-old Jesena Andony, who's from Canada, was riding in a golf cart near 68th Place and Thomas Road just before 2 a.m. when she dropped the device on the street. The group she was with stopped and got out to search.
That's when a driver in a truck heading westbound on Thomas struck the woman. She was taken to the hospital where she later died, The Arizona Republic reports.

The driver of that truck remained on scene and is not expected to face charges. Officers speed or impairment were not suspected.
