1 Arrested, 1 At Large In Burglary of Elderly Woman In Scottsdale

Scottsdale police said a woman has been arrested and charged with burglary and credit card fraud but her male partner is still at large.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — A woman has been arrested and charged with residential burglary and credit card fraud after stealing from an elderly woman in Scottsdale, but her partner is in the wind, according to police.

The Scottsdale Police Department announced the arrest of 38-year-old Jackie Barnhart in a news release. She was taken into custody on Wednesday evening in her Phoenix home after being accused of a burglary on Jan. 3.

According to police, an elderly woman returned from church at 9:20 a.m. and found a female burglar in her home. The burglar ran out, but the homeowner discovered many of her belongings had been stolen, including multiple credit cards. A man and a woman were later seen using the credit cards at stores around the Valley.

At the time, police asked the public for help in identifying the two suspects, which eventually led to Barnhart's arrest. Police are still asking for help in finding her male counterpart. He is described as a white man, 20 to 30 years old and his height is between 5’9 to 6’1. He has a heavy build, brown hair and numerous tattoos.
