Saguaro athletic director quits amid claims of inappropriate messages (azcentral.com) — Scottsdale parents should know that Saguaro High School’s athletic director and assistant principal has resigned after allegations he sent inappropriate messages to a student, a move the Scottsdale Unified Governing Board approved this week. The district quickly removed him from campus, notified families at both Saguaro and Mohave Middle School, and reported the matter to Scottsdale police and the State Board of Education.

Officer, driver hurt after crash in Scottsdale (azfamily.com) — A Scottsdale police officer and another driver were hurt in a two-vehicle crash that shut down the Osborn Road and Drinkwater Boulevard intersection late Saturday morning, though neither suffered serious injuries.
