Arizona Cardinals NFL Draft Pick Arrested In Speeding Incident

Arizona Cardinals first-round draft pick Zaven Collins was arrested on suspicion of speeding and reckless driving, Scottsdale police said.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Arizona Cardinals first-round draft pick Zaven Collins was arrested on suspicion of speeding and reckless driving Sunday, Scottsdale police said.

Collins, who was drafted by the Cardinals with the 16th pick of the 2021 NFL draft, was stopped on east Chaparral Road near Scottsdale Road going 76 mph in a 35 mph zone just after 10 a.m., according to police.

He was charged with excessive speed and reckless driving and released on Sunday, police said.

Collins faces up to 60 days in jail and up to $500 in fines if convicted on the excessive speed charge.

Collins also faces a maximum of four months in prison and up to $750 in fines if convicted of reckless driving.
