Here are the top three stories today in Scottsdale:

1. Scottsdale Fashion Square's back-to-school event is happening today, Aug. 13. The event will feature plenty of activities, fashion shows, and hot trends. There will also be an open call model search for children at Desert Stages between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Click for additional information about the event. (citysuntimes)
2. Scottsdale's car auction company Barrett-Jackson has been acquired by IMG. The New York media company purchased it for $261.25 million by buying the majority of its shares. IMG is responsible for hosting hundreds of global events each year. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
3. The Scottsdale Fire Department is searching for volunteers to assist its operations for next year. The city will be playing host to a series of special events at the beginning of 2023. To assist the department, interested applicants must fill out an application. Ideal volunteers will have a flexible schedule. (Daily Independent)
