  1. Benise Live will be performing their singular musical style in Scottsdale! The mix of Cuban salsa, Spanish flamenco, Brazilian samba, African drumming, and more will get your toes tapping. This unique combination of styles and genres results in new versions of classic rock anthems. Benise Live in Concert will be at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts on Apr. 15, 2023. (Eight, Arizona PBS)
  2. Friday morning saw two Scottsdale schools on lockdown after reports came in of an armed person on campus. Shadow High School and Black Canyon Elementary went into lockdown after calls came in warning of an unknown person was seen entering the high school with a weapon. Due to the proximity of the high school and elementary school (both schools are located near Cave Creek Road and Carefree Highway), it was decided to shut them both down as a precaution. The lockdown was lifted a few hours later when police could find no suspects matching the description provided. (Arizona's Family)
  3. A trailer fire has left one person dead just outside of Scottsdale. Firefighters responded to a call near 140th Street and Rio Verde reporting that a travel trailer and car were on fire. Ultimately two cars caught on fire as well as a travel trailer; at one point a nearby outbuilding nearly burst into flames as well. Police have not yet identified the victim of the fire.
