  1. Donna Miller, of Rhode Island, was found dead after hiking in Scottsdale. The 57-year-old and her husband were hiking the Brown’s Ranch trailhead around 12:30 p.m. when they split to take different sections of the trail. When Miller did not arrive that the meeting spot, her husband called the police. Miller's body was located around 9:00 p.m. just north of the trailhead. Officials are investigating the cause of death, but it appears to be heat related. (ABC15 Arizona)
  2. Scottsdale fire fighters responded to a call near Via de Ventura and Hayden Road after two people suffered numerous bee stings. Crews foamed the large hive and called a beekeeper for further assessment. One of those stung was taken to the hospital, as was a firefighter who also received multiple stings. Their conditions have not been released. (ABC15 Arizona)
  3. The United Diversity Business Summit is hosting its free event tomorrow, September 15, at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. The Millionaire Mastermind Academy is funding the event, which aims at helping entrepreneurs and business owners grow their companies, while supporting diversification and inclusion initiatives.(ABC15 Arizona)
  4. The Scottsdale Civic Center is getting a $27.3 million makeover! As construction begins, many of the Civic Center's pieces of art will be moved to safe locations for display, or placed in storage. Although for the betterment of the center, construction will leave Scottsdale residents without access to the popular photo-op location for a year. But, for enthusiasts, pieces can be found at their temporary locations near a lake at DC Ranch, Bell Road, the Arabian Library, the Scottsdale Historical Museum, and even City Hall.
