- Michael Reust, a senior at Chaparral High School, raised $7,000 for Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona. Reust, who has been singing since he was in elementary school, offered a "musical greeting" in exchange for a donation to the nonprofit organization. His mom struggled to find consistent housing when she came to the U.S. as a refugee from Slovakia before he was born, so he wanted to use his passion to have a positive influence on others who may be facing housing challenges.
