Here are the top 3 stories in Scottsdale today:
- A Scottsdale Police Detective has been arrested for his involvement in a DUI crash. The incident occurred on Friday, Nov. 4, around 10:00 p.m. when Detective Michael Lanouar crashed into another car while driving a city-leased vehicle. Two people in the other car were hospitalized. Lanouar was off-duty at the time of the accident. (FOX 10 News Phoenix)
- A man has been sentenced to seven years of supervised probation for tampering with food at multiple locations across the Valley, including stores in Scottsdale. David Lohr was first arrested in 2018 for adding “poison or other harmful substance[s]” to food in the freezer sections of Target and Walgreens stores in the area. Authorities say no one reported any illness in connection with the tamperings. (Daily Independent)
- A woman walking her dog in Scottsdale over the weekend says an owl tried to attack her dog. Footage captured by the owner, Chelsea Grubb, shows the Great Horned Owl sitting in a tree watching the pair before flying right at them. A wildlife expert with Arizona Game and Fish warns small dog owners to keep their pets on a leash, as this may begin happening more in the Valley. (12 News)
