Here are the top 3 stories today in Scottsdale:

  1. A Scottsdale high school has received the 2022 National Blue Ribbon Award from the U.S. Department of Education. School officials from Notre Dame Preparatory visited Washington D.C. earlier this month to accept the award, which recognizes schools with exceptional education and academic inclusion programs. Notre Dame Preparatory was the only high school in Arizona and one of only five Catholic schools nationwide to receive the award this year. (Scottsdale Progress)
  2. The City of Scottsdale is moving forward with plans to limit its water supply to city residents beginning in 2023. The decision is part of a broader contingency plan to reduce water consumption and would bar private trucking companies from purchasing and exporting the supply to communities such as Rio Verde Foothills, which does not have its own water system. City officials say they have been asking Rio Verde residents to search for alternative water sources for nearly a decade. (NBC News)
  3. The Scottsdale Philharmonic will hold its next concert on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. The event will be conducted by the orchestra's newly-hired principal conductor Maestro Dmitry Polyakov and feature pieces by Chopin, Mozart, and Schubert. The Scottsdale Philharmonic's 2022-2023 season also includes performances on Dec. 11, Feb. 19, Mar. 19, and May 19. (Scottsdale Independent)
