- Drivers who regularly travel along the north Loop 101 near Scottsdale can expect shortened commute times in the future. Officials with the Arizona Department of Transportation say construction to expand existing lanes and add additional lanes could improve the flow of traffic as early as 2025. Finalized designs for the project are expected to be completed by summer 2023. (Daily Independent)
- Scottsdale's Paula Pedene, the organizer behind the annual Veterans Day parade, has been recognized with a Pay It Forward award for her efforts. The parade has been happening for 26 years and draws crowds upwards of 45,000 people each year. This year's parade takes place in Phoenix on Friday, Nov. 11, at 11:00 a.m. (Arizona's Family)
- It's officially sweater season in Scottsdale. The National Weather Service reported Friday morning that the city's temperatures had dropped into the upper 30s. Scottsdale was among the coldest spots in the state of Arizona, alongside Gilbert and Apache Junction. (NWS Phoenix via Twitter)
