Here are the top three stories in Scottsdale today:

  1. One-hundred acres of land have had their lease rights purchased by fully integrated alternative asset manager Caliber to begin The Riverwalk Development Project. The project will be located in the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community. The proposed development will include mixed-use entertainment, retail, restaurants, event venues, hotels, and much more. The area purchased by Caliber for the project runs along the 101 Freeway from Talking Stick Way to Via de Ventura. (AZ Big Media)
  2. Santa Claus made his annual season debut at Scottsdale Fashion Square's Palm Court on Nov. 17. There are various upcoming family-friendly events planned through Dec. 24, including musical serenades and photos with Santa. There will also be opportunities to get a personalized phone call from St. Nick himself. Sensory Santa events will also be offered to children with sensory needs so they can enjoy the seasonal cheer, too. (Daily Independent)
  3. A Sunday evening car crash has left one person dead and three injured. Police responded to reports of a collision at around 7:00 a.m. near 94th Street and Thunderbird Road. The intersection was shut down during the investigation while the vehicles were removed, but has since been reopened. Four people were injured at the scene and taken to the hospital where one ultimately succumbed to his injuries. (Arizona's Family)
