- The Scottsdale City Council voted unanimously for the revised version of Ordinance No. 4566, which is compatible with Arizona Senate Bill 1168. According to the new updates, short-term rental property operators must now obtain and maintain a local license, conduct sex offender background checks on booking guests, carry liability insurance, and provide neighbor notification. - On Wednesday, Nov. 2, the Arizona Department of Transportation will conduct a public meeting to discuss Loop 101 between Princess Drive and Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale. The virtual meeting will provide an overview of the project, which includes adding lanes and other improvements, and after there will be time for questions and comments. (Scottsdale Independent)
- A castle-like three-bedroom home is for sale on N. 142nd Street in Scottsdale! View the link to see this and other homes on the market in your area. (Scottsdale Patch)
Patch deal of the day:
Good knives make all the difference in the kitchen, but you don’t need to overpay for them. Seido Japanese knives are made with strong high-carbon stainless steel (high-carbon knives are more durable and usually more expensive) and have an acute 15-degree angle for a noticeably sharper cutting face (most Western-style knives have edge angles of 25 degrees). For a limited time, Patch readers can get a 5-piece Seido Japanese master knife set for 71 percent off. At just under $70, this chef-quality set is perfect for any home cook and would also make a great gift for the holidays.
