Here are the top three stories today in Scottsdale:
- Scottsdale's AZ/88 is closed for renovations. The popular Old Town Scottsdale contemporary bar is getting a major reconstruction. The project will entirely redesign the Scottsdale Civic Center area. Click the following link to view the project's artistic renderings. (Phoenix New Times)
- Scottsdale Public Art will be opening its "Modern Latina: Cultura, Familia y Arte" exhibit on Oct. 11. The exhibit will be at the Scottsdale Civic Center Library through Dec. 31. The artwork is meant to celebrate the resilience and creativity of the state's Latina artists. (Broadway World)
- Maricopa County Sherriff's Office deputies took some extra training on Friday. The deputies participated in autism awareness training with the nonprofit First Place in Phoenix. The last time the department participated in the training was in 2019. The training is meant to prepare deputies to interact with individuals with autism in our diverse community. (AZ Family)
