Here are the top three stories today in Scottsdale:

  1. The Scottsdale Ranch Park upper playground has been temporarily closed due to equipment damage. Before the park can reopen, officials must repair or replace the damaged equipment and conduct a safety inspection to ensure everything is up to standards. There is no date on when the park will be reopened. For more information, visit the link. (Scottsdale Parks & Recreation via Facebook)
  2. Kasai Japanese Steakhouse is working to raise funds for foster children this season. The popular Scottsdale restaurant has joined forces with Arizona Children's Association to provide holiday funds to the organization. Kasai will be donating $1 for every teppan dinner sold. Additionally, the restaurant will host a special foster family for dinner and entertainment. The program will run through Christmas Eve. (Daily Independent)
  3. The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community is holding a turkey and food box drive through Thanksgiving! Distributed items will include a whole frozen turkey, a tribal food box, and more. The drive is in partnership with St. Mary's Food Bank and is free (while supplies last). To learn more or see if you qualify, visit the link. (Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community)
