Here are the top stories in Scottsdale today:
- A report by 3 On Your Side indicates that one in every five Arizonan stores are charging more than posted prices. Inspections by Arizona’s Weights and Measures Services Division found 17% of stores fail routine inspections for overcharges. The Circle K in Scottsdale is one such offender, with multiple items ringing up more expensive than its posted price. Stores that are repeat offenders might face civil penalties. (Arizona's Family)
- The Scottsdale United Methodist Church, the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce, and the Scottsdale Progress are hosting all seven Scottsdale City Council candidates for and open forum on June 14. The mixed-use facility was riddled with controversy surrounding zoning issues, project density, traffic congestion implications, and concerns over altering the neighborhoods character.
