  1. The City of Scottsdale is considering a project that could provide lower temperatures throughout the year. A proposed project for lighter, reflective pavement could lower the average yearly temperature throughout the city. The city has partnered with Arizona State University to investigate strategies to lower the average temperature in Scottsdale. There are over 200 premature deaths each year in Arizona that are associated with heat-related illness. (Daily Independent)
  2. A Tempe chase ended with a crash in Scottsdale. The Tempe Police Department attempted to stop a suspect during a stolen car investigation on Saturday around 6:30 p.m. The suspect fled and crashed the vehicle at 70th Street and McDowell Road; the Scottsdale Police Department responded to the crash. (FOX 10 News Phoenix)
  3. Several Scottsdale areas were impacted by floodwaters on Friday. The city reportedly received over 3 inches of rainfall during the storm. Several powerlines were also knocked down. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported during the flooding. (12news.com KPNX)
