- Scottsdale Fire Rescue crews rescued a woman from a local hiking trail on Saturday. The woman, who is reportedly in her 60s, called 911 from Ringtail Trail in nearby Fountain Hills and said she was suffering from heat exhaustion. The department used a drone to locate the woman and brought her to safety. (AZ Family)
- The City of Scottsdale will be using new camera technology to improve public safety. The technology will be utilized at Scottsdale and Camelback Roads to track everyone traveling through the area. The data will be used to determine the area's traffic flow to design improvements. The technology might be developed to record incidents such as crashes. (ABC15)
- Maricopa County has received its first payment of a national opioid settlement. The payment was worth $4.7 million. The settlement will pay out $80 million over the next 18 years. The funds are coming from drug makers and distributors that unlawfully marketed opioids in the county. (KTAR.com)
