  1. The Scottsdale City Council has voted unanimously in favor of an updated vacation rental ordinance. Under the revised Ordinance No. 4566, short-term rental property operators will be required to obtain and maintain a local license, conduct sex offender background checks on booking guests, carry liability insurance, and provide neighbors with notification. The revisions will go into effect on Jan. 8, 2023. (City of Scottsdale)
