Here are the top stories today in Scottsdale:

  1. It's been traveling the country, and now The Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit is gracing the Valley with its stunning take on art display. Lighthouse Artspace in Scottsdale is hosting the exhibit starting today through November. Although the first week is sold out, this is a not to be missed experience. (12news.com KPNX)
  2. The City of Scottsdale is seeking input from residents, business owners, and anyone who works in the city regarding the 2021 Transportation Action Plan. The online questionnaire will be available until September 3, so there is plenty of time to tell the city what should be prioritized. Whether it's related to street maintenance, transit schedules, bikeways, and pedestrian crosswalks, your confidential feedback is encouraged. (citysuntimes)
  3. Scottsdale's Navajo Elementary is seeing a surge in enrollment numbers after a fire in 2018 forced the school to close. Students relocated to Oak Campus for two years while repairs and renovations were underway at the Granite Reef and Camelback Road campus. In March 2020, the original campus reopened and now boasts over 500 students — the largest enrollment ever. Additional teachers and builds are being considered to accommodate the growing numbers. (Scottsdale Progress)
  4. The City of Scottsdale partnered with the Pac-12 and The Arizona Sports & Entertainment Commission to create a conference championship for baseball. At the end of May 2022, the top eight Pac-12 teams will fight for the title at the Scottsdale Stadium. And don't worry, the agreement runs until 2024 — so there are many years of baseball ahead. (Press Release Desk)
  5. Beards can be a challenge — trims, oils, creams, gels. The whole process of keeping a beard sharp can be taxing. But Live Bearded, headquartered in Scottsdale, aims to change all that. Two ASU graduates created the business not only to support Arizonans, as all the products are locally made, but to help men gain confidence in themselves through proper beard hygiene.
