- HonorHealth, a nonprofit health system based in Scottsdale, has broken ground on a new wellness campus in the city. The $50 million project features a 100,000-square-foot ambulatory building that will offer sports medicine, primary care, urgent care, and more. The campus is slated to open in 2024. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
- Traveling for the holidays? Waymo autonomous cars are now available for travelers heading to and from Sky Harbor International Airport. Representatives from Waymo say the offering has nearly doubled the size of the company’s service territory in nearby Phoenix and the surrounding areas. All service to the airport will use Sky Harbor’s 44th Street PHX Sky Train Station for pickup and drop off. (Subscription: The Arizona Republic)
- One person has been hospitalized following a motel fire in nearby Mesa early Friday morning. Firefighters were able to get the blaze at the Frontier Motel under control shortly after arriving around 5:00 a.m. As of Friday afternoon, the condition of the injured person was unknown.
