Here are the top three stories in Scottsdale today:
- There are a wide variety of events and performances happening at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts this December. Christmas programs, such as the Scottsdale Philharmonic's "Messiah," are enormously popular and sell out quickly! The Emerson String Quartet will be holding its final world tour and is stopping by Scottsdale one last time. For more of a contemporary dance vibe, BODYTRAFFIC is ready to make you move. Meanwhile, the Brubeck Brothers will be playing their signature style of jazz. (citysuntimes)
- On Jan. 13, the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a special event for young entrepreneurs. The event will allow young professionals to make connections, grow their careers, and learn the ins and outs of surviving in the business world. There will be Networking, Chin Up Donuts, and Pony Up Coffee to get you ready and raring to go! There will also be a 30-minute guided walk through the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy's Bajada Interpretive Trail. (Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce via Facebook)
- A pop-up shop selling small gifts will be the testing ground for a new location in Scottsdale. Pagoda Lane already has two locations in the area – one in Paradise Valley and the newest one along the Greenway-Hayden loop – and is looking to expand. The pop-up shop at Scottsdale Quarter will determine how the store operates in a mall setting and whether it will be their third location. The hop will remain at Scottsdale Quarter through February.
