• Surprise retail development to include fried chicken, shaved ice (azcentral.com) — A new 16-acre retail center is planned in Surprise’s Prasada community near Cactus Road and Cotton Lane, bringing a fried chicken restaurant, shaved ice shop, gas station, and more. With room for additional pads, hotel, and self-storage, developers say the project targets one of the West Valley’s fastest-growing corridors, though no construction start date is set yet.
