1 Dead In Early Morning Tucson Shooting, Suspect Arrested

A 28-year-old man was shot and killed in a Tucson south side neighborhood Friday morning. A suspect in the shooting was arrested.

TUCSON, AZ — A 28-year-old man was shot and killed outside a smoke shop on South Park Avenue Friday morning, according to Tucson police.

Honorio Juan Nieblas, 30, was charged with first-degree murder and is currently being held at Pima County Jail on $500,000 cash-only bail, police said.

The dead man was shot after getting into a confrontation with another man in front of the smoke shop. The second man fired his weapon and struck the man before leaving the scene in a white pickup truck, police said.

A Tucson SWAT team arrested Nieblas in connection with the shooting.

Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call Tucson police at 88-CRIME.
