A Phoenix Mustang driver was critically injured after crashing into a Chevy Tuesday. A baby in the Mustang's backseat is OK though.
PHOENIX, AZ — One Phoenix Mustang driver lies in critical condition in the hospital after colliding with a truck Tuesday night at the 83rd Avenue and Thomas Road intersection. A 4-month-old restrained in the Mustang’s back seat is OK, though.
Tuesday night about 6:30 p.m., a 2014 Chevy Silverado truck driven by a 34-year-old man was in 83rd Avenue’s left turn lane facing north. As the Chevy driver attempted to turn left onto Thomas Road, his truck and a 2000 Ford Mustang headed south on 83rd Avenue crashed in the intersection.
Phoenix Fire arrived at the intersection and took the Mustang’s driver, a 57-year-old man who was critically injured, to the hospital. In the Mustang’s backseat they found a 4-month-old baby restrained in a car seat. The baby was taken to the hospital, too, but was deemed uninjured after medical examination.
