Tucson Wagon Museum has seasonal opening ahead of Rodeo Parade (tucsonsentinel.com) — Tucson residents can now visit the Tucson Wagon and History Museum on South Sixth Avenue, open Thursdays through Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. through April 4. The museum showcases about 150 historic wagons, Tucson street scenes, and new circus wagons, many of which will appear in the Feb. 26 Tucson Rodeo Parade, a century-old Southern Arizona tradition.

SAFE Alert issued for missing 73-year-old man in Tucson (kvoa.com) — Tucson Police are asking for the community’s help finding 73-year-old Kwisebura Munyagitari, who has been missing for five days and may be in a weakened state. He was last seen Dec. 6 near E. Wetmore Road and 1st Avenue, wears a black suit and cowboy hat, uses a cane, and does not speak English; anyone with information should call 911.

3. Arizona school leaders agree on absenteeism issue; disagree on solutions (kold.com) — Tucson families are being warned that chronic absenteeism is surging, with roughly one in three Arizona high schoolers missing too much school and Tucson Unified now drafting a districtwide plan to respond. Education leaders from Tucson, Pima County, and rural Cochise County debate whether stricter rules, more funding, or positive incentives will best get students back in class.

4. A permanent solution: Rincon/University High School modular units to be replaced by new building (kgun9.com) — Tucson Unified School District has approved a $10 million bond project to replace aging portable classrooms at Rincon/University High School with a permanent, modern building. Eight new classrooms, administrative offices, and a significantly upgraded band room are planned, with construction expected to be finished for the 2027–28 school year, improving safety and learning conditions for future students.

Jim Click's raffle raises $1.8M for local charities (kvoa.com) — A long-running Tucson raffle led by auto dealer Jim Click, Jr. just raised over $1.8 million for 379 local charities, with every ticket dollar staying with participating groups. Now in its 16th year, the Millions for Tucson Raffle has generated nearly $19 million overall, including this year’s big prizes won by residents from Tucson, Oro Valley, and California.
