23-Year-Old Man Shot And Killed At Craycroft Road Apartments

TUCSON, AZ — Julian Holmes, 23, is dead after he was shot Friday afternoon outside a Craycroft Road apartment in Tucson.

About 4 p.m. Friday, Tucson police were called to an apartment complex near 1700 S. Craycroft Road on a reported shooting. Officers found Holmes — who was shot several times — alert and able to talk when they arrived. Tucson Fire medics took him to Banner University Medical Center, where he died shortly after his arrival, however.

In the meantime, Tucson police detectives arrived at the apartment complex and found out the shooting occurred outside one of the apartments. They also learned that Holmes knocked on an apartment door asking a resident for help after he was shot. The resident then called 911.

Police say Holmes “is associated with the complex, but did not reside there.”

No suspects have been arrested yet in the case, and detectives are requesting anyone with information on this case to call 88-CRIME. Tipsters can stay anonymous.
