$5K Reward Offered For Vehicle Driven By Tucson Fugitive Couple
A $5k reward is offered for clues leading to the red GMC pickup driven by the Barksdales, Tucson murder suspect fugitives, in their escape.

ARIZONA – A new reward is being offered in the case of 59-year-old Susan Barksdale and 56-year-old Blane Barksdale, fugitive suspects in the April murder of 72-year-old veteran Frank Bligh in Tucson. The couple escaped custody while being transported from New York to Pima County Monday, Aug. 26, when Susan faked an emergency intestinal condition, enabling the couple to overpower their prison transport drivers near Blanding, Utah. The escape motivated the U.S. Marshals to offer a $20K reward for the couple on Wednesday, Aug. 28, and caused Pima County to suspend the transport company’s contract, pending further investigation.
Now the U.S. Marshals Service has told The Arizona Republic that an additional $5K reward is offered for clues leading to recovery of the Barksdale’s getaway vehicle, a red GMC Sierra pickup truck with license plate No. 127XTY, borrowed from a friend.
Anyone with information on the location of the Barksdales or the GMC pickup should call 911 or their local U.S. Marshals Service: Phoenix (602) 382-8768 or Tucson (520) 879-6900. Authorities say the couple is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by civilians.
