80-Year-Old Sentenced To Probation For Voter Fraud
Republican Richard John Greenfield, 80, was sentenced to 2 years of probation for voting twice in the 2016 general election.

TUCSON – Richard John Greenfield, 80, received a sentence of 2 years of probation for voter fraud, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced Thursday. Greenfield’s sentence prohibits him from voting in Arizona during his 2 probationary years. He was also ordered to finish at least 100 hours of community service during the 2 years, and he must pay a $2,500 fine.
A registered Republican, Greenfield in 2019 pleaded guilty to a felony Attempted Illegal Voting charge for submitting two votes in the 2016 general election. One vote was cast in Pima County, the other in Washoe County, Nevada.
The Arizona Secretary of State’s Office in 2018 first identified Greenfield’s double voting and sent a report to the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, where Assistant Attorney General Todd Lawson prosecuted the case.
