City Of Tucson Looking For Complete Streets Council Volunteers

The City is in search of locals with backgrounds in transportation, safety and economic vitality to staff a new volunteer Streets Council.

TUCSON, AZ — Heads up, Tucson residents with backgrounds in equity, land use, safety, environment, economic vitality, accessibility for all, health and recreation, and mobility and transportation: The City of Tucson is looking for residents like you to staff its new 20-member Complete Streets Coordinating Council.

The council will comprise volunteers who will review transportation projects, help the City engage the public on the topic of transportation and make sure everyone’s needs are met by Tucson streets. The Coordinating Council will provide guidance and oversight for the City’s Complete Streets program implementation and for the City’s 25-year transportation plan development. The Council will meet monthly, and members will need to actively participate in activities and all meetings for two years.

Applications for volunteering on the Complete Streets Coordinating Council can be found on the City’s website and are accepted until 5 p.m. Aug. 23.
