ESPN College GameDay Coming To Tucson For UA Men's Hoops

TUCSON, AZ —The No. 3 ranked Arizona Wildcats men's basketball team will host Oregon Saturday night (tipoff set for 8 p.m. MST), but the festivities will begin much earlier as ESPN College GameDay will be in town.

The ESPN traveling pregame show made the announcement over the weekend that it will tape live from McKale Center from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. (MST) on Saturday.

Fans are welcome to the taping, and admission is free. The doors will open at 7:30 a.m., the university has announced.

According to the UA Athletic Department, students can enter the taping through the ZonaZoo entrance. Other fans can enter through Gate A on the south side of McKale Center near the ticket office, which faces Fred Enke Drive.

Campus parking garages and lots around McKale Center are free on Saturday morning, though fans will be asked to vacate the lots when the College GameDay taping ends.

This will be the fourth time the show has been taped at McKale Center.

GameDay is hosted by Reece Davis and he is joined on the panel by former players Jay Bilas and LaPhonso Ellis and former coach Seth Greenberg.

The panel normally does the show in front of a raucous crowd, many of them holding television-appropriate signs.

The Wildcats entered this week with a record of 22-7, 12-1 in the Pac-12. They host Oregon State at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Oregon comes to Arizona this week —the Ducks will face Arizona State on Thursday —with a 17-8 record and a 10-4 mark in the conference.

The UA Athletic Department reminds those attending Saturday's events that surgical or higher-grade masks are required at indoor venues. Officials at McKale Center will provide masks to fans who need them.
