High Rise Fire In Tucson Declared Under Control

N Tyndall Avenue remains closed at 2nd Street.

TUCSON, AZ — Fire crews worked Tuesday morning to extinguish a fire that broke out on the 9th floor of a high-rise building in Tucson.

On Twitter, Tucson Fire Department said the fire was reported in an under-construction building near 2nd Street and N Tyndall Avenue.

The building was evacuated, and the fire department said just before noon that the fire had been called under control. Crews remain on scene.
