Jan Lesher Named Acting Pima County Administrator
Lesher has been filling in for Chuck Huckelberry since he was seriously injured in a bicycle accident in October.

TUCSON, AZ — Jan Lesher, who has been filling in as county administrator since late October, was officially named acting county administrator Tuesday in an unanimous vote by the Pima County Supervisors.
Lesher has led the county's administration department as chief deputy county administrator since Oct. 23 when County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry was seriously injured in a bike accident, according to a news release from Pima County.
Huckelberry is still recovering from his injuries in a medical facility and doctors don't have an estimate on when he'll be able to return to work, the county said.

“The Board and everyone else in Pima County government want Chuck to know they miss him terribly, that we are heartened by reports of his continued progress, and that we send him our best wishes for a complete recovery and return to work as County Administrator,” Lesher said in the news release.
Huckelberry has ample accrued leave to cover the time he needs to take off to recover from his injuries, Lesher added.
