Man Rescued After 2 Days Lost In Tucson Mountains
The 25-year-old man was missing for two days after he and his fiancee hiked up a wash in Tucson Mountain Park.
TUCSON, AZ — A man was rescued Monday after he was lost two days in the Tucson mountains, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said.
The rescue took place Monday morning after a sheriff's department helicopter spotted him in the Tucson Mountain Park. The 28-year-old man and his 25-year-old fiancee had become lost while hiking up a wash in Gates Park on Saturday evening.

The woman showed up at a house in the 9700 block of West Calle Anasazi, west of the mountains, in search of help the following evening around 7 p.m. She told deputies that her fiance was barefoot and had stopped walking.

Sheriff's deputies began a search in coordination with air units from the Department of Public Safety, volunteers from the Southern Arizona Rescue Association and the National Park Service. The man was eventually spotted around 11:30 a.m. Monday.
He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. No other information was available.
